Continuing from the last episode, Sakura retreats to her room when she thinks
she’s seen too much of what Sai may be doing.
Naruto, after getting over his nightmare, wakes up and runs into Yamato after
discovering all of Sai’s things are gone, but Yamato has other plans for Naruto.
Outside, Sakura finds Sai working on a portrait and the process is going well
except for one major detail: the work does not have a title. Odd, considering
all people, according to Sakura, name their art pieces, but Sai has done
thousands of pieces of art and none of them have names. The inspiration for a
title just does not come to him like it would others because he doesn’t feel
anything…at all, or have any opinion of Naruto. He’s just indifferent.
When the squad leaves, relations are slowly building…slowly, though Naruto
realizes that fear would have been the best method to control Naruto.
As the team walks through a forest, Naruto is stuck on what Sai said about not
feeling anything, but he snaps out of his trance when Yamato leads the team
through the middle of the forest. This is because there’s a strong possibility
that Akatsuki is aware of their plans to meet at the bridge, so Yamato is
leading the team as far away from main roads as possible.
Yamato, using another jutsu, creates a cabin in the middle of the woods where
the team will stay. He gives everyone the layout of the plan for the meeting at
the bridge because he believes that it could be a set up, so he asks Sakura to
tell him everything she remembers about Sasori and his personality since she was
the only one out of the four to see his true identity. Yamato can imitate Sasori
using his transformation, but it will not be perfect, and if the enemy is
strong, there is a strong possibility that the team will be attacked. Since
Yuura was an Akatsuki spy, the team cannot take any chances, so Yamato assigns
two groups.
Group one: Yamato and Sakura. The second is Naruto and Sai.
Elsewhere, a cloaked figure makes his way towards the bridge for the upcoming
meeting.
