After hearing the huge revelation, Naruto realizes that the huge crater, the
wrecked bridge, all of those things were his fault. Sakura lied to spare him his
feelings. Yamato claims a bit of responsibility, but assures Naruto that he has
nothing to fear, so long as the two are near each other. He explains that the
Kyubi's power will help bring him closer to Sasuke, but his power is not the
Kyubi's- he is borrowing that chakra.
Naruto is already powerful on his own, and if he continues to use the Kyuubi's
chakra, he will do more harm than good not only to himself, but others. If
Naruto wants to get stronger, he needs to do it with his own power and not just
the demon fix within him.
At a lake, Orochimaru, Sai, and Kabuto are taking a break, but Kabuto is taking
the longest time trying to clean blood from his knives to keep the blades from
dulling. However, he also requests a male body with no wounds without any
wounds. Of course, Kabuto has a set of bodies to use already, but he just used
one for the fake Sai body. He is low on males between 15 and 16 and if the
scroll isn't in exact order, it bothers him. Typical since Kabuto's blood type
is AB (not A- meaning perfectionist as in an astrological sign- as Orochimaru
assumes).
Sai, on the other hand, tries without any hope of finding the exact book that
Sakura pulls out of a pouch. When he can't find it, he has a quick panic, but
shrugs it off as he, Kabuto, and Orochimaru continue to head for the hideout.
Yamato discusses battle strategies with Naruto, but Naruto is distracted by
Sakura, who is engrossed by Sai's book. It would help to learn more about Sai,
but even Sakura is puzzled by it. There are no words or dialogue, just a story
about the two boys on the cover. One looks like Sai, the other Sakura assumes is
Sai's brother. The page on the right follows the boy with black hair. Each page
has him fighting a new enemy with the previous enemy's weapon and armor. Once
you flip it, the white hair boy does the same thing until what Team 7 assumes
will happen: the two will face off.
Odd that on the last page the black haired figure does not have a face. Before
the team can go through the book any more, Yamato's clone discovers the hideout.
As Orochimaru, Kabuto, and Sai walk through the bowels of the hideout, they
reach the center where a certain figure awaits them. Buried in darkness, the
figure sits in silence until two Sharingan pierce the darkness and he at last
addresses the three.
"You're late."
The man awaiting the three at the hideout is none other than Uchiha Sasuke.
