Sealing Technique - Complete Nine Mystical Dragon Seal
Chiyo and Ebizou enter the Treatment Center and overlook Kankurou’s
current state. When they view the results of the blood sample, they
find out that none of the antidotes that Suna has will work on the new
type of poison in Kankurou’s body. The most that anyone can do is wait
for the reinforcements from Konoha to arrive, which Chiyo sees as a
sign of the village’s weakness if all they can do is wait for the
support of other villages. Kankurou’s condition worsens and Chiyo says
that he only has one day left to live, provided that he’ll even make it
to morning. The only one who knows more about medicines and such is
Tsunade, but there’s no way that a Kage would leave their village
simply for this small matter, and it would still take three days to
arrive in Suna from Konoha.
Speaking
of Konoha, the flu seems to be spreading around the village since
various people are sneezing and such. Tsunade gets a bad feeling when
she looks at the ticket she has and it turns out that she won the grand
prize (highly unlikely, considering her bad luck). She plans to send
reinforcements to back up Team Kakashi.
Temari and Team Kakashi arrive at the desert, where Sunagakure lies just beyond.
Elsewhere,
Sasori and Deidara arrive at the Akatsuki hideout. The seal on the
boulder reacts to Deidara’s hand sign and the boulder begins to rise
up. The two enter and inside waiting for them is the Leader, who
reprimands the two for being late. After forming a few signs, the
Leader summons a giant statue and calls for the other members to
assemble. They each arrive through astral projection (meaning it is
only a hologram version of themselves, while their actual bodies are in
some other location).
Back in Suna, one of the shinobi tells
Baki that there are no signs of Yuura’s body, so they consider the
possibility of him going out to rescue Gaara by himself and being
killed in the process.
The mouth of the large statue opens. The
Leader tells everyone that the process they’re about to perform will
take three days and three nights to complete, so everyone must be
mindful of their real bodies. He then tells Zetsu to use his real body
as a lookout and use his longest range to watch out for intruders.
Despite Kisame’s asking if the process will take a bit longer since
Orochimaru is no longer a member, the ritual begins. A series of
glowing lights with symbols on them begin to appear on each of the
fingers the members are standing on. The Leader begins Fuuin Jutsu:
Genryuu Kyuu Fuujin (Sealing Jutsu: Phantom Dragon’s Nine Seals) and
nine dragon-like effigies pour from the statue’s mouth and converge on
Gaara.
Shizune returns and tells Tsunade that the expected
reinforcements have returned from their mission, but Tsunade enters the
wrong room and gives the assignment to Ebisu’s squad of Konohamaru,
Moegi, and Udon (the flu is still spreading). Upon realizing this, the
two leave.
The actual team that receives the mission is the new and improved Team Gai.
Team Kakashi and Temari are in a cave to take cover from the sandstorm, as it is easy for one to get lost in a sandstorm.
When
they finally arrive sometime later, they’re informed of the current
situation and Sakura says that she’ll examine Kankurou herself.
However, upon Team Kakashi’s arrival, Chiyo rushes forward at Kakashi,
who she seems to remember as “Konoha’s White Fang.”
