Sakura's Tears

Sonic waves burst from Naruto's mouth, but he is unable to remove the sword from his chest. As Yamato's clone observes the battle, he notices Sai watching a bit further off and wonders what he's doing. He reports back to the original Yamato, who tells the clone to watch Sai's movements. Sakura is at a loss for words; the loudmouth, hyper Uzumaki Naruto that she used to know is now this…beast before her with a sword in its chest.

Naruto eventually removes the sword of Kusanagi from his chest and brushes it to the side, so Orochimaru decides not to use it anymore. On the sidelines, Kabuto remarks that he's surprised that Naruto would go as far as to transform into what he's become in order to save Sasuke. Sakura, however, is still lost in her own world. Naruto, who made her the promise of a lifetime to save Sasuke, who promised to do whatever it takes and never go back on his word, has transformed into an unrecognizable beast as tears begin to flow from her eyes.

With fresh tears still streaming down her face, Sakura runs towards Naruto and begs that he stops, but her words do not reach him. One of his tails swings forward to deliver a punishing blow as Sakura remains frozen with fear…

On the other side, Sai watches as Orochimaru…again, spits out another form of himself and Sai realizes that this could be his only chance. Orochimaru collapses on the ground with exhaustion and realizes that his body is failing him. For now, it seems that he must retreat, as he always has his precious Sasuke-kun waiting for him.

The tail slams into Sakura's face and knocks her to the ground. Before the finishing blow can be delivered, Yamato finally intervenes and stops Naruto from killing Sakura by entrapping him with another Earth style jutsu. Naruto is bound on all sides.

Kabuto walks forward, but Yamato traps him too. Surprisingly, Kabuto had different intentions as he uses some of his chakra to heal Sakura's would. To Kabuto, the goals of both groups are the same: they both want to get rid of Akatsuki. If Orochimaru allows the others to live, they may finish off one or two of the members for them, saving them a lot of trouble.

Yamato's bind on Naruto begins to waver as the wood begins to tear. Also, Kabuto realizes it's time he and Orochimaru pulled out, as well. The least, he figures, the others could do to repay him is take out another member of Akatsuki, but Naruto is their problem.

Elsewhere, Sai, after mentioning Danzou to him, confronts Orochimaru and tells him that he is not his enemy.

Yamato charges forward with Hokage-Shiki Jijun Jutsu (Hokage Style Submission Jutsu): Kakuan Nitten Suishu (Kakuan's Return to Humanity) and begins to draw chakra from Naruto's body. Spiked pillars surround Naruto as the demonic red chakra begins to slowly fade from his body and Naruto lets out a feral yell when he begins to regain control.

Sai prepares to deliver his message, but Orochimaru reminds him of just who he's talking to and how the wrong words could get him killed. He pauses for a moment before spitting a sword from his mouth and Sai's eyes widen in sudden horror.
