New Enemy

On a moonlit night, a messenger bird arrives at Konoha. Soon after, Shizune barges into Tsunade's office, telling her that the four hidden tombs have been raided. Tsunade then asks what the current situation is, to which Shizune replies that Team Kakashi is on their way. They then deduce that the grave robbers were after the corpses of the four shinobi of the Twelve Ninja Guardians. Shizune then mentions all the other troubles they have; Akatsuki, Orochimaru, and Danzo as well. Tsunade decides that they'll first deal with the problems inside of their reach; namely Danzo.

Elsewhere, Danzo is remembering when Sai asked to remain in Team Kakashi, and makes a remark about Sai's smile. Above him, two ANBU members are monitoring him. He then wonders what Tsunade is thinking, but it doesn't matter anyway, since she is already in the palm of his hand.

Opening theme plays.

Team Kakashi, Chiruzu and Sora are heading towards south, chasing the grave robbers. Naruto then has a flashback of Sora, and how he despises his powers, but need them to get revenge.

The group comes out on a cliff overlooking a large valley. Hey then see the four coffins sliding across the landscape, and they decide to follow them, despite knowing that it's most likely a trap. They then break off in teams, and chase them.

Naruto and Sora soon reach the coffins, but due to them arguing, the coffins head underground before they can get any of them.

The enemies, standing on top of a cliff far away, get the coffins. They then start to execute their trap. One of them take out the blueprints for the trap; a height map on paper. Another one of them executes the jutsu "Doton, Uitenpen" (Earth Element: Wheel of Fortune). In a few moments, the whole valley has become a rugged, rocky landscape. Chiruzu is very surprised about the magnitude of the jutsu, but he soon falls down into a deep ravine.

Yamato has fallen into a deep, square-shaped hole, whose walls soon begin to close in on each other. He realizes he don't have the time to get out. However, thanks to him using the Mokuton no jutsu (Wood Element technique), wooden blocks stops the caving walls just enough to allow him to get out.

Elsewhere, Naruto, Sora and Sakura have met up. They decide to look for Yamato and Sai, but they soon fall into holes opening in the ground, separating them.

In another place, Sai is flying round on a drawn bird of his. He tries to fly out of the ravine he has fallen into, but it's soon closed, leaving him trapped inside. As he falls down, he sees the enemy he'll fight.

In another ravine, Yamato has also fallen down and is trapped. Here he encounters the enemy he'll face. He's very surprised that Yamato can use the Mokuton no jutsu (Wood Element technique), but he uses "Doton, Ari Jigoku" (Earth Element: Ant Hell), trapping Yamato. However, he soon escapes. The enemy then breaks free from the Wood Element technique with sheer power alone, surprising Yamato. He then punches with Tsunade-like strength, but Yamato barely dodges.

Sakura and Sora have been split up from Naruto, and they deduce that the enemy wants them to split up. Naruto on the other hand, is walking through a cave, and barely dodges a trap, before he has to escape from another trap, this time a Indiana Jones-esque trap; a rolling stone. He barely dodges this, and then encounters the enemy he will fight.

ED theme plays.

In the next episode preview, Yamato is complaining about how easily the team was split up as well as wondering what the enemy is after, while we're shown him, Sai and Naruto fighting their enemies.

For the special at the end, Yamato is talking about Danzo's plot; talking about him, his position and influence. Also, he questions whether it's good or not to have Sai on Team Kakashi.
