Mutability
Neither Yamato nor Fudo is able to outperform one another. When Fudo believes he
has finished Yamato off by encasing him within a rock, he marks his grave and
heads elsewhere. Yamato later reemerges and comes up with the theory that these
four are after someone from Konoha, meaning it's possible it's that Danzo is
behind this.
Sora, unwilling to cooperate with Konoha, goes off on his
own and leaves Sakura on her own to find Naruto.
Through licking his
lips, Naruto's opponent, Fuka, is able to determine he has wind element natured
chakra and offers him the chance to join her collection (French or soft are his
options). It's not food she's talking about, as Naruto assumes, but kissing.
Naruto blushes at this woman's advances. Though he has had kissed another person
before- Sasuke, by accident- Naruto rushes away from Fuka.
It's useless,
though, as Fuuka appears from behind Naruto and plants the kiss of death on
him…or so she thinks. The Kage Bunshin vanishes.
Fuen keeps track of Sai
because of the tracer on his backpack. After several attempts to stop him, Fuen
slows down Sai's escape in an area where he is at a disadvantage. Sai manages to
reach the top of the cliffs, but Fuen still gets his every move and gets him
with a trap in the ground. She uses Doton: Gansetsukon (Earth Rock Staff) to
create a spear from the terrain and throws it at Sai. The spear pierces Sai's
shoulder, but it is only a clone, which dissolves with the tracer buried within.
The real Sai appears from behind and creates a diversion to escape.
Back
in Konoha, while the ANBU continue monitoring Danzo's activities, a messenger
owl arrives with a message from the Fire Temple: Team Kakashi has fallen for
some of the enemies' traps.
Sakura makes her way through clouds of sulfur
when she is attacked by a giant spider. Sai arrives and defeats the spider, but
is infected by some of the spider's venom. Sakura begins to heal Sai, but Sai
believes that, based on what he read in a book on Self Sacrifice, Sakura is
helping him because she is impressed with his efforts to save her.
Not
deterred by multiple enemies, Fuuka eliminates all of the Kage Bunshins with
Katon: Housenka no Jutsu (Fire Phoenix Flower Jutsu) and is still able to dodge
the real Naruto, who misses hitting Fuka with a Rasengan. Fuka reappears from
the terrain through Doton: Iwakagure no Jutsu (Earth Hiding within Stone Jutsu)
and eliminates Naruto's next set of Kage Bunshins with Suiton: Ja no Kuchi
(Water Snake's Mouth).
While being rushed by the water, Naruto is amazed
that Fuuka can use three elemental jutsus, but this jumps to four when Fuka uses
Raiton: Jibashi (Lightning Electromagnetic Murder) to shock Naruto while in the
water.
Elsewhere, Sora notices the lightning and rushes towards the
scene, but runs into the leader of the four grave robbers on the way. The leader
has been waiting for him.
