Jet-Black Signal Fire

After capturing Danzou and a man with him who bore the headband of the Hidden rain, ANBU escorts them to be interrogated by Tsunade and others. While there Yamato notices that he has seen the other man before, he went missing on a mission when Yamato was still acting as an ANBU operative. Morino Ibiki is brought in to forcefully extract information from the shinobi, who everyone now realizes was Danzou's plant in the Hidden Rain. But before he takes him away, the head advisers enter and state that theyve known about the spy and he has been feeding them information as well.

During all this Sora infiltrates the room and, by hiding in the rafters, listens in on the ongoing conversation. Then the subject of what to do with Sora arises, as most consider him a great threat to Konoha. Most in the room, including Danzou and the advisers, seem to believe that killing him would be in the best interest of the village. Tsunade begins to say she refuses but is cut off when two ANBU approach, having found Sora hiding. He confronts Asuma about the death of his father. When Asuma verifies that it was he who killed Sora's father Sora loses control of his power and attacks Asuma, along with a few ANBU.

The battle moves out front in the street, after a few exchanged blows, Naruto jumps in and saves Sora from a distant shuriken attack. After this Sora runs at Asuma only to disappear in a gust of wind. Naruto passes out, and while unconscious, has the dream again, and then wakes up in the hospital.

Meanwhile, it is revealed that Furiido was the cause of Sora's disappearance. On a hillside overlooking Konoha Furiido explains that he believes the Fire country should only have one king, i.e. getting rid of the Hokage, leaving the feudal lord as sole ruler, as Sora's father believed. Sora's anger and mistrust in Konoha prompts him to launch an assassination attempt on Tsunade, who is saved from a large shuriken that crashes through her office window by Naruto.
