Sai mistakes Naruto's continuation with his training as fear from what Yamato
told him one night about the grave robbing situation. Unlike most grave robbers,
these did not come to plunder loot and bodies. A shinobi's body is still good
after death, as witnessed by Sasori turning the Third Kazekage into a puppet.
The tomb was not opened from the outside, so…the corpse came back to life!
Back in the present, Sai thinks Naruto believed this joke.
At the
rendezvous point, the men from the Fire Village do not arrive, so Sakura and
Yamato go off to look for themselves. Sai attempts to do what he thinks is
comforting Naruto, but only ends up sending Naruto off on his own to do some
exploring. After a run in with a boar, he ends up in a clearing with an
underground entrance to a tomb. There, he encounters a young man with wind
natured chakra like himself. The man begins with Juuha Shou (Beast Wave Strike)
and sends Naruto through the ceiling and back into the clearing.
With
his wind natured chakra, the stranger makes quick work of Naruto's Kage Bunshins.
Before Naruto can confirm whether or not his opponent has wind natured chakra,
his opponent goes on the offensive and strikes with Juuha Repuu Shou (Beast Wave
Violent Wind Strike), which is countered just by Naruto's fist.
Someone
calls out the man name (now known as Sora) and the fight stops. His explanation
is that he was going to check the tomb and since the coffin was stolen, he
believed that Naruto was the grave robber.
Chiriku of the Fire Temple
explains the situation to Sora just as word comes in that there's been another
incident.
As the team climbs an endless flight of stairs, Naruto
unsuccessfully questions Sora about his wind natured chakra.
When he
reaches the top, Naruto stops when he realizes that the temple that sits before
him is exactly like the one he saw in his dream.
